Maratus volans, yang lebih dikenali sebagai labah-labah Merak, adalah dandiest, perkara ‘cutest’ sedikit anda akan melihat hari ini. Spesis jantan ini mempunyai 2 bulat, paling cemerlang berwarna seperti kulit kepak di sebelah sama ada ‘abdomen’ yang dilipat ke bawah dekat terhadap sisi badannya, seperti selendang. Pewarna yang cemerlang bukan hanya untuk hiasan, ianya digunakan apabila dia menangkap betinanya.

Untuk mendapatkan perhatian labah-labah betina ombak lelaki pertama kakinya, bergetar-getar ‘abdomen’ dan bergerak dari sisi ke sisi. Beliau juga menimbulkan kaki ke-3 yang mempunyai berus bulu hitam dan hujung putih-yang disebut-sebut. Dan kemudian seperti burung merak, ianya menimbulkan 2 yang indah-indah berwarna kepak dan tarian-tarian untuk betinanya. Adalah ia ini tindakan terakhir yang telah memperoleh labah-labah, dan sesungguhnya keseluruhan genus Maratus, namanya labah-labah Peacock.

Maratus volans, better known as the Peacock Spider, is the dandiest, the cutest little thing you’ll see today. The male of this species has two rounded, most brilliantly coloured skin-like flaps on either side of his abdomen that are folded down close against the sides of the body, like a shawl. The brilliant colouring is not just for decoration, he uses it when he courts his mate.

To get the attention of the female spider the male first waves his legs, vibrate his abdomen and moves from side to side. He also raises his third legs which have a brush of black bristles and the white-tipped ends. And then like a peacock, he raises the two magnificently coloured flaps and dances for the female. It’s this final act that has earned the spider, and indeed the whole genus Maratus, the name of Peacock Spider.

Labah-labah Merak adalah sangat kecil - hanya 4 milimeter panjang. Bersembunyi di dalam semak,-semak, ia adalah purata jenis perkara bushwalker Australia akan lulus olehnya, tetapi tidak Dr Jurgen Otto yang menangkap tembakan pada kamera beliau. The Peacock Spider is extremely tiny - a mere four millimetre in length. Hiding in the undergrowth, it is the sort of thing an average Australian bushwalker would pass right by, but not Dr Jurgen Otto who captured these shots on his camera. “I have a very keen eye for small things”, said Dr Jurgen Otto. “When I walk around the bush I usually don't look into the trees, I usually look on the ground. There was a spider that just looked different to other spiders I'd seen before so I was very curious...and I took a couple of photos.”

The photographs revealed a most extraordinary looking jumping spider. “Since then I've been wrapped and wanted to take more pictures so I kept coming back for 3 years but unfortunately I kept searching at the wrong spot.” Three years later, Jurgen's perseverance paid off and he captured what he believes is the only footage of Australian Peacock spiders.

Spesies lain labah-labah Merak kurang hebatnya. (Other species of the Peacock spider are equally impressive).

Martus Speciosus

Nama biasa spesies ini adalah Pantai labah-labah Peacock. Sehingga baru-baru ini ia telah dipanggil Saitis bermuka-muka, tetapi ia adalah sangat serupa dengan spesies lain Maratus itu dan kini dimasukkan dalam genus ini. Bulu berwarna oren hanya boleh dilihat pada paparan. Salah satu spesies yang paling menarik dalam Maratus genus, ia boleh didapati di metropolitan Perth.

The common name of this species is Coastal Peacock spider. Until recently it was called Saitis specious, but it is very similar to other species of Maratus and therefore is now included in this genus. The orange coloured hairs are only visible during the display. One of the most striking species in the genus Maratus, it can be found in metropolitan Perth.

Spesies ini pertama kali difoto oleh Stuart Harris pada Disember 2008, tetapi ia mengambil masa 3 tahun lagi untuk spesimen lain boleh didapati yang kemudiannya boleh diterangkan secara saintifik. Spesimen yang kini diserahkan di Muzium Australia sebagai ‘holotype’ dan spesis yang dinamakan dalam penghormatan Stuart. Spesimen yang anda lihat di sini adalah yang ke-3 yang pernah gambarkan. Ia juga datang dari Booroomba Rocks di Canberra dan telah dikumpulkan oleh Stuart.

This species was first photographed by Stuart Harris in December 2008, but it took another 3 years for another specimen to be found that could then be scientifically described. That specimen is now lodged in the Australian Museum as the holotype and the species is named in honour of Stuart. The specimen you see here is the third one ever photographed. It too came from Booroomba Rocks in Canberra and was collected by Stuart.

Da Vinci dilakarkan pelan tertua yang diketahui untuk pesawat manusia berkuasa di 1485. Namun ia tidak sehingga 1977 bahawa yang pertama yang benar-benar terbang. Now they are on the verge of overcoming the greatest challenge yet: vertical take-off.

To fly a human-powered helicopter, a pilot would likely have to produce 500 watts of power. Even the fittest pilot could not sustain that ‘output’, says Antonio Filippone, an aeronautical engineer at the University of Manchester in England who has published two papers analyzing theoretical human-powered helicopters. “You can lift off,” he says, “But for more than a few seconds, it is not possible.” We’ve heard that sort of thing before.

Orang Belanda (Dutchman)  kepak tangan & terbang Nya . . .

Wii lengan-melambai sistem kawalan - dan sekarang - mengikut video dia hanya diterbitkan - mereka bekerja! Manusia boleh terbang! Dutchman Flaps His Arms And Flies - Jarno Smeets has been working for several months on his Human Bird Wings project -- assembling long nylon wings powered by outrunner motors. Wii arm-waving control system -- and now -- according to the video he's just published -- they work! Man can fly! Some people are somewhat skeptical that little motors, shallow flapping, and trotting along a flat field are enough to launch a tall Dutchman into the air. ORNITHOPTER - mengepak sayap penerbangan . . .

ORNITHOPTER - Flapping-wing flight: The Challenge: Small animals such as hummingbirds beat their wings fast enough to stay aloft entirely from flapping, pushing more air down than they do up and creating a net upward pressure. But at large scales, it’s difficult to beat quickly enough to remain in the air. Bigger flappers, therefore, require a boost from forward thrust. Think of an engine pushing forward a flapping-wing plane,  ornithopter.

The Solution/Penyelesaian: Larger kepak sayap burung, tetapi ia juga twist ke hadapan dan kembali seolah-olah jiggling sebuah doorknob, yang menghasilkan tujahan tambahan ke hadapan. They used computer simulations to fine-tune their design. And they gave Snowbird a wide, 105-foot wingspan and employed carbon fibre and Kevlar to keep it light. A person generates power in the 94-pound craft using a leg press similar to those found in gyms.

On August 2, 2010, on a field in Ontario, a car towed the craft forward until it glided into the air. Then the car stopped towing. As Reichert worked the leg press, the Snowbird flapped its wings and flew on its own at a height of 11 feet for 19.3 seconds, traveling 475 feet.

When the pressure below the craft overcomes the pressure above it, there is a net upward force. Most planes use engines to get enough forward motion, but people can’t propel a vehicle nearly as fast.

The Solution /Penyelesaian: Secara umum, lagi sayap, lif lagi. Pada awal 60-an, mahasiswa Universiti Southampton membina kapal 130-paun dengan lebar sayap 80-kaki-dan penghantaran gaya basikal (bicycle-style transmission) disambungkan kepada kipas. The Solution: In general, the longer the wings, the more lift. In the early ’60s, Southampton University undergraduates built a 130-pound craft with an 80-foot-wingspan and a bicycle-style transmission connected to a propeller. It flew a third of a mile but had significant steering problems. In 1977, engineer Paul MacCready designed the Gossamer Condor, a 70-pound aluminium and plastic craft with a canard - an airfoil on a boom in front of the fuselage. It was more manoeuvrable than its predecessors and flew in a figure eight around markers a half-mile apart, winning the Royal Aeronautical Society’s prize for the first controlled and sustained human-powered flight. There’s still room for improvement. For example, engineers have refurbished the ’90s Airglow (seen above) with bent wingtips and curvier wings - improvements that stabilize it during turns.

HELIKOPTER - Berasaskan Penerbangan Pemutar . . .

Several teams are trying to prove that they can conquer vertical flight by winning the American Helicopter Society’s Sikorsky prize, a standing $250,000 award for a human-powered helicopter that hovers for one minute and hits a minimum altitude of three meters (9.8 feet), while staying within a 10-meter (33-foot) square.

The Contenders: The University of Maryland team’s Gamera II helicopter is a quadcopter, a craft with four 42.6-foot-wide rotors connected to a bicycle-like transmission. Each tweak to their design has yielded better results - in June, a pilot sat and pedalled with his hands and feet to raise the Gamera II about a foot off the ground for 49.9 seconds, and then in August, a pilot topped out at eight feet.

Aeronautical engineer Neal Saiki, who designed the first human-powered helicopter to lift off in 1989, is back with a new craft: theUpturn. A pilot pedals to spin its single, 85-foot-wide rotor with four blades, two of which have propellers at their ends, which help with stability. Each blade also has an adjustable flap and a sensor to detect vibration and balance, and Saiki’s software tweaks the flaps’ angles in real time to compensate for wobbles. In June, a pilot lifted the Upturn two feet for about 10 seconds.

The competition is still heating up. Snowbird co-designer Todd Reichert officially registered for the helicopter prize this July with a new group, but it hasn’t yet released a full design of its quadcopter. Maryland continues to improve its craft. Saiki aims to use a stronger pilot. And team gravity will be fighting all of them every step of the way.

Walaupun latitud dinomborkan secara semulajadi dari pusat Bumi di khatulistiwa, longitudes ber-nombor oleh British supaya negara mereka duduk tiruan di pusat peta Bumi dengan 0 ˚ Longitude. 

Walau bagaimanapun, dalam Islam, Mekah yang kini terletak di longitud 39,8 ˚ E adalah suci pusat Bumi dan oleh itu longitudes semua mesti diperbetulkan oleh subtracting 39.8 ˚ daripada nilai semasa mereka. Pembetulan ini boleh membantu kita mencari titik pertama di mana acara pertama ˚ latitud 13 akan melanda Bumi yang menganggap nombor bab (Surah 55 Ar 'Rahman) * 55 untuk menjadi nombor longitud.

Perhatikan bahawa adalah latitud ~ 110km luas supaya tidak semua kawasan di dalam latitud akan memukul dan beberapa mungkin terlepas sengaja oleh Allah Ta’ala terutama tempat ibadat untuk menunjukkan bahawa kita semua menyembah Allah yang sama SATU tanpa mengira laluan yang berbeza agama.

While the latitudes are numbered naturally from the center of the Earth at the equator, the longitudes were numbered by the British so their country sits artificially at the center of the Earth map with Longitude 0˚.

In Islam however, Mecca which currently lies at longitude 39.8˚E is the holy center of the Earth and therefore all longitudes must be corrected by subtracting39.8˚ from their current values. This correction can help us locate the first point at which the first event of latitude 13˚ would hit Earth assuming the chapter number Surah *55 to be a longitude number.

Point 13˚N 94.8˚E shown on the above Earth2012 map in big white could be this first point assuming the 31 events start at the north hemisphere. This also shows how merciful God is by targeting least-populated areas first to give people enough time to heed His warnings and move out of harm's way for at least 4 days and come back if their areas are still habitable. Note that a latitude is ~110km wide so not all areas within a latitude would be hit and some may be missed deliberately by God especially places of worship to show that we all worship the same ONE GOD regardless of our different religious paths.

Manusia ditemui Latitudes (Man-discovered Latitudes) . . .

Beberapa berpendapat bahawa latitud dan longitudes adalah buatan manusia dan mempunyai akar mereka dalam pembahagian bulatan kepada 360 darjah yang diperkenalkan oleh orang Babilon beribu tahun dahulu. Tetapi Babilon mengambil bahagian mereka daripada memerhatikan putaran penuh langit dalam 360 hari kemudian. Oleh itu, bulatan 360 darjah bukan manusia mendapati buatan manusia. Inilah sebabnya mengapa mereka memperkenalkan sistem nombor 60-asas yang digunakan dalam menjaga masa kita hari ini. 

Some argue that latitudes and longitudes are man-made and have their root in the division of a circle into 360 degrees introduced by the Babylonians millennia ago. But the Babylonians took their divisions from observing the sky’s full rotation in 360 days then. Therefore, a 360 degrees circle is man-discovered not man-made. This is why they introduced the 60-base number system used in our time-keeping today.

Greece adalah di terhenti sekali lagi, dengan orang pembolongan kemarahan mereka pada luka yang lebih, yang EU menuntut dalam pulangan untuk dana penting. Keganasan meletus semasa sebagai damai 7,000 ramai menuju ke Parlimen Yunani, Associated Press melaporkan. Beberapa kumpulan belia mula membaling batu dan koktel Molotov dan polis terpaksa menggunakan gas pemedih mata untuk meredakan ketegangan.

Tiada kecederaan telah dilaporkan. Sejumlah kira-kira 17,000 orang berkumpul selama dua serangan berasingan di Athens, sebagai dua Greece terbesar kesatuan melancarkan mogok 48 jam pada hari Jumaat. Kebanyakan perkhidmatan awam di Greece telah terjejas, termasuk pengangkutan awam dan hospital. Cuts and tears: Greek police disperse angry mob . . .

RT News (Published: 10 February, 2012) Greek riot police have used tear gas to disperse the crowd of raging rioters throwing petrol bombs and stones. Greece is at a standstill once again, with people venting their anger at more cuts, which the EU is demanding in return for vital funds. Violence erupted during as a peaceful 7,000-strong crowd was heading to the Greek parliament, the Associated Press reported. Several groups of youth started throwing stones and Molotov cocktails and the police had to use tear gas to defuse the tension.

No injuries have been reported. A total of some 17,000 people gathered for two separate strikes in Athens, as Greece’s two biggest unions launched a 48-hour strike on Friday. Most public services in Greece were affected, including public transport and hospitals. The fresh protests come a day after the Greek parliament discussed a deal on a new set of cuts and an agreement with private creditors on the parameters of a debt write-down.

Menteri Yunani meletakkan jawatan . . .

Kabinet Yunani telah kehilangan enam menteri dalam masa dua hari, sebagai ahli politik terus meletakkan jawatan, enggan untuk menerima beban yang sukar langkah-langkah penjimatan baru yang dikenakan ke atas Greece. Timbalan menteri luar, Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou dari parti peniaga Pasok sosialis, adalah yang terbaru untuk meletakkan jawatan pada Jumaat.

Menteri pengangkutan parti Laos dan timbalan menteri marin saudagar dan pertanian meletak jawatan awal pada hari yang sama. Timbalan menteri buruh, Koutsoukos Yannis, ahli Parti Sosialis meletak jawatan sehari sebelum pada hari Khamis, mengatakan bahawa dia telah berhenti kerana langkah-langkah yang "menyakitkan untuk bekerja orang." Jauh betul Greece Laos pemimpin parti, George Karatzaferis, berkata beliau tidak akan mengundi memihak kepada perjanjian bailout baru. Greek ministers resign . . .

The Greek cabinet has lost six ministers in two days, as politicians continue to resign, refusing to accept the tough burden of new austerity measures imposed on Greece. The deputy foreign minister, Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou from the socialist PASOK party, was the latest to resign on Friday.

The LAOS party's transport minister and the deputy ministers of the merchant marine and agriculture resigned earlier the same day. The deputy labour minister, Yannis Koutsoukos, a member of the Socialist Party resigned a day before on Thursday, saying that he was quitting because the measures were "painful for working people." Greece's far-right LAOS party leader, George Karatzaferis, said he would not vote in favor of a new bailout agreement. However, with only 16 deputies in the parliament, LAOS party will not be able to block the bailout agreement in case the Socialists and the conservatives vote in its favor.

The parliament is due to vote on the agreement on Monday. Greece has a total debt of about 350 billion euro, and is trying to negotiate a 130-billion-euro bailout from the EU and International Monetary Fund, which, if it is agreed, will be the second such cash bailout.

Polis rusuhan dalam gear penuh termasuk gas topeng telah mengambil langkah-langkah yang melampau selepas perhimpunan menentang anti-langkah penjimatan di hadapan parlimen Yunani bertukar menjadi ganas. Sekumpulan beberapa ribu telah berkumpul di Dataran Syntagma di tengah-tengah ibu negara  Yunani untuk memprotes terhadap perbahasan parlimen pada langkah-langkah penjimatan baru. Greek police fire tear-gas at protesters . . .

Riot police in full gear including gas-masks have resorted to extreme measures after the rally against anti-austerity measures in front of the Greek parliament turned violent. A crowd of several thousands had gathered on Syntagma Square in the heart of the Greek capital to protest against the parliamentary debates on new austerity measures. If passed, the measures could see the country secure a crucial €130 million bailout from the EU and the IMF.

Youths in masks and scarves wrapped around their faces threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the law enforcement officers. The square was soon filled up with tear-gas, and small fires were also visible in the streets. Sticks, stones and sometimes even garbage bins were used by the protesting youths as they focused their anger at riot police.  Ambulances were on site and a number of people received medical treatment, some even taken away on stretchers.

At least ten buildings went up in flames as the riots engulfed the center of the Greek capital. A three-story corner building believed to be a home appliances store was severely damaged by fire. Among other buildings damaged were a cinema, a bank, a mobile phone dealership, a glassware shop and a coffee shop, the Associated Press says citing the fire department.

Kami bertanya: "Suara apakah, ya Rasulullah?" Beliau menjawab:

"Suara keras di pertengahan bulan Ramadhan, pada malam Jum'at, akan muncul suara keras yang membangunkan orang tidur, menjadikan orang yang berdiri jatuh terduduk, para gadis keluar dari pingitannya, pada malam Jum'at di tahun terjadinya banyak gempa. Jika kalian telah melaksanakan shalat Subuh pada hari Jum'at, masuklah kalian ke dalam rumah kalian, tutuplah pintu-pintunya, sumbatlah lubang-lubangnya, dan selimutilah diri kalian, sumbatlah telinga kalian.

Jika kalian merasakan adanya suara menggelegar, maka bersujudlah kalian kepada Allah dan ucapkanlah: "Mahasuci Al 'Quddus, Mahasuci Al 'Quddus, Rabb kami Al 'Quddus!", karena barangsiapa melakukan hal itu akan selamat, tetapi barangsiapa yang tidak melakukan hal itu akan binasa".

FITNAH AHLAS, FITNAH SARRA dan FITNAH DUHALMA'

Menurut riwayat Abu Daud, bahwa perawi hadits ini berkata: Aku telah mendengar Abdullah bin Umar berkata: Kami pernah duduk di sisi Rasulullah Shallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam, beliau menerangkan panjang-lebar tentang berbagai macam huru-hara, hingga akhirnya menyebut Fitnah Ahlas (huru-hara tiada habisnya) Seseorang bertanya,

"Ya Rasul Allah, apa itu Fitnah Ahlas?"

Nabi Shallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam menjawab, "Ialah perampasan harta dan keluarga, lalu dibawa lari." (Rasul melanjutkan keterangannya), "Kemudian timbullah, sesudah itu Fitnah Sarra' (huru-hara kemewahan), yang tipuan ataupun kerusakannya keluar dari bawah telapak kaki seseorang (yang mengaku) dari ahli baitku.

Dia mengaku dari keluargaku, padahal dia bukan keluargaku. Wali-waliku hanyalah orang-orang yang bertakwa. "Kemudian manusia mengandalkan seseorang, bagaikan buntut bersandar pada tulang rusuk. Dan sesudah itu timbullah Fitnah Duhalma' (huru-hara sangat dahsyat), yang tidak membiarkan seorang pun dari umat ini melainkan dilandanya Sampai-sampai bila dikatakan huru-hara itu telah usai, maka ia kembali lagi, dimana seseorang di pagi hari beriman, lalu petang harinya menjadi kafir.

Akhirnya manusia terbagi ke dalam 2-kota besar: kota iman, dimana tidak ada kemunafikan, dan kota munafik, dimana tidak ada keimanan. Apabila itu telah terjadi, maka tunggulah dajjal pada hari itu juga, atau esok harinya.

"Dan menurut riwayat Abu Daud pula, dari Abdullah bin Amr bin 'Ash, Rasulullah Shallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam bersabda, "Bagaimana kamu ini (tenang-tenang saja), padahal zaman tidak lama lagi akan mengoyak umat manusia sekacau-kacaunya, sementara mereka benar-benar telah bercampur-aduk dalam menyelenggarakan janji-janji mereka dan berselisih pendapat, sehingga mereka menjadi seperti ini - sambil menjalin jari-jari beliau satu sama lain.

Para sahabat bertanya, 'Bagaimana seharusnya sikap kami, ya Rasulullah?' Beliau menjawab, Ambillah apa-apa yang kamu kenal (baik), dan tinggalkan apa-apa yang tidak kamu kenal. Uruslah (baik-baik) urusan peribadimu, jangan pedulikan penilaian masyarakat umum)."

Syrian rebels now have heavy weapons. CSF Rieti.  In Syria's northern city of Aleppo, rebel forces have been using a tank against government troops in a further escalation of fighting. A UK-based human rights group says the anti-government Free Syrian Army attacked a military airbase near Aleppo on Thursday with a tank believed to have been taken from government forces. The rebels had been lacking in firepower to counter the tanks and helicopters of government troops. But recently they are reinforcing their weaponry with help from neighboring Gulf states. UN ceasefire observers expressed concern on Wednesday, confirming the rebels have heavy weapons. The government army launched a fierce offensive across the country on Wednesday and Thursday.
